This is a specialized group designed for women (18+) who have experienced sexual abuse/assault. Utilizing evidence-based approaches and techniques, the group focuses on education, support, and empowerment within a safe and confidential environment. The group will be small (4-6 women) and will meet on Saturday mornings, in person, from 9-10:30am for 8 weeks. Each participant will need to commit to attending regularly (be present for at least 6 of the 8 sessions). The next group is tentatively scheduled to begin on October 3, 2026. An intake session is required to ensure it is a good fit for each woman. The intake session is $200, and each group session is $75 (I am also in-network with Optum/United Healthcare).
To help track your healing journey, I utilize the PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5), a standard clinical measure administered during the first and final weeks of the group. Historically, participants in this group experience significant, clinically meaningful relief, with average post-treatment trauma symptom scores decreasing by approximately 18 points!
Interested, but nervous about attending group? You're not alone! Nearly every woman who has attended reported feeling apprehensive at the start. However, in almost 20 years of facilitating this group, participants consistently share that the experience of shared healing is invaluable, and none have expressed regret in taking this step. Witnessing the profound progress and resilience of the women in this group remains one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. Taking the step to join this group requires immense courage, but you do not have to navigate this journey alone.
